Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve, Colorado
Thanksgiving 2015 - I was living alone in New Mexico and couldn’t afford to fly to Florida to see family, so I took a long drive up and visited several parks in Colorado. Waking up to see the dunes towering hundreds of feet above the plains that spread out to the south, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains which in turn towered thousands above the dunes, was a sight to behold. The early morning sunlight arcing across the dunes creates shadows like I had never seen before.
Hiking up and down the dunes is no easy feat - you constantly sink shin-deep in the powdery sand. The effort that each step requires, especially when lugging around cumbersome photo gear, is magnified tenfold over a normal hiking path. Of course, it’s always worth the effort to visit and document these amazing places.
Photographs will be printed on Hahnemuhle Silk Baryta fine art photographic paper. I will personally review, sign, and number each print sold. The photographs will be delicately rolled into a rigid tube and mailed for your pleasure. Each photograph will include a small border to help with matting and framing once it arrives at your door.
Photographs will be limited to a run of 100 prints each (inclusive of all sizes), after which no more prints will be created.
I am currently only offering rolled prints, but if you are interested in receiving your artwork in another medium - acrylic, aluminum, etc. - please contact me to discuss the available options.
