Porcupine Mountains Forest
Comprising one of the largest tracts of old growth forest remaining in the U.S., Porcupine Mountains State Park preserves nearly 60,000 acres in the remote and beautiful Upper Peninsula along the southern shore of Lake Superior. The mountains are home to some of Michigan's highest peaks, densest forests, and seemingly countless rivers and waterfalls.
