The oldest Estonian Lutheran church in the United States is found down a small dirt road in north central Wisconsin. The church was originally established in 1907 to serve the numerous settlers from the Baltic nations (mostly from Estonia and Latvia). Currently the church is undergoing restoration, with the hope of one day being able to offer services for local worshippers once again.

I have visited this site on a couple of occasions - this photograph was taken in April, 2018 shortly after the sun broke above the farmland to the east. Standing there on a Sunday morning, with the light pouring in through the front door, one can imagine the small congregation coming together 100 years ago to worship.
